COLLABORATIVE MENTAL HEALTH CARE

CANADIAN COLLABORATIVE MENTAL HEALTH CARE CONFERENCE UPDATE DECEMBER 2020

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Canadian Collaborative Mental Health Care Conference scheduled for June 5th and 6th in Halifax was cancelled. We’d like to thank the organizers, committee members and sponsors for their work and support of the conference.

Although the traditional conference was cancelled, we were able to partner with the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA) and offer a Canadian content stream in their 2020 virtual conference on the theme of “Strengthening integrated care to meet complex needs" (October 7-10, 2020). We’d like to thank the CFHA for this unique opportunity.

We thank the presenters who adapted to the new virtual format and shared Canadian innovations and insights in integrated and collaborative care with an international audience. Knowledge exchange related to the Canadian content in the virtual conference was generously supported by a contribution from the Canadian Foundation for Healthcare Improvement (CFHI).

The success of this creative collaboration in 2020 inspired an even more integrated virtual conference in partnership with CFHA in 2021. We are excited to continue to develop opportunities to learn from each other and proudly share our efforts in integrated and collaborative care in Canada. Our joint virtual conference was held October 19-23, 2021 (https://www.integratedcareconference.com/2021-conference-madison-wi/).

If you have any questions about the conference, please contact Sari Ackerman at sari.ackerman@hamiltonfht.ca

We thank you for continuing to support the conference and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.
